Discover the peace of self acceptance
Are you in an unheatlhy relationship but can't get out? Are you struggling to connect with your partner and are frustrated at the lack of intimicy in your relationship? Do you avoid contact with family members to avoid feeling guilt, anger or resentment? Or are you just unable to create or maintain healthy fulfilling relationships and friendships?

I can help you begin to understand how you end up in the relationships that you do. I help bring clarity to the areas in your life that feel frustrating and help uncover the places you feel stuck.

My goal is to know you, explore your struggles, and provide you with helpful tools to overcome them. We will work together in a comfortable environment, where you will feel accepted and at ease. Together we will identify your personal struggles and address the areas in your life that require attention.

My practice is guided by my own experiences and my desire to help others through similar struggles that I may have faced and overcome. Through self-empowerment, and a combination of vulnerability, acceptance and the ability to connect with the resources within yourself, I aim to support and guide you through your adversity.

My practice is primarily relational and is led by my understanding of family systems and elements of Gestalt therapy, Hakomi and NARM. I use mindfulness and somatic awareness to bridge the connection with the mind, body and spirit.

I truly believe that we all have the ability to lead the life we desire by creating harmony and wellness from within. This process is a journey, leading to a stage where we can connect to our authentic selves, face life with confidence and contentment and find satisfying relationships in all areas of our lives. The first step of this journey starts with you and I am committed to being there every step of the way, with an open mind and open heart.

About
Lyris Pana
I am a Master Therapeutic Counsellor in good standing with ACCT. I am a mother of 2 vivacious children, and wife to a wonderful husband who has been on this journey with me and been my greatest supporter. I provide in person and online counselling to those suffering from symptoms of anxiety, depression, addiction and C-PTSD. I work from a trauma informed lens and specialize in relationships, specifically interracial relationships offering support to individuals and couples. Other areas of specialty I provide support for are parenting, childhood trauma and abuse. As a person of colour, I believe that I have the perspective and awareness to support the BIPOC community and those who need support with what it means to live in a culture where systemic patterns have an impact. A big component of my work is through mindfulness and I believe that having a mindfulness practice can accelerate the healing and growth that can be experienced in our time together. My practice is also influenced by my own personal work with Hakomi and NARM.

I work with individuals in session or online to help you meet your goals and work through any areas in your life that are keeping you feeling stuck or unfulfilled. I especially love working with individuals who are struggling to find connection within their relationships.
As a mother of 2, I have quickly become aware of the struggle that parents have in all aspects of their lives, whether it be parenting, partnering or being overwhelmed with the demands of life when caring for and guiding these young beings. I can help you find balance and work towards ease when life feels like it is getting too difficult to manage.
I have experience working with couples, and being in an interracial relationship while living with my husband's parents, we have learned to work through a lot of difficulties that come with co-habitation and cultural differences while raising young children. Whether you have children or not, there are always other people who may interfere or have impact on our lives with our partners. I can help you navigate through those areas and find a way to be in relationship while creating respectful boundaries for you and with the people in your life.
